SENIOR DOMINO’S FRANCHISEE REPRESENTATIVE LAURA TARRAN TO SPEAK AT 2022 EMPOWERING WOMEN IN BUSINESS CONFERENCE

21 September 2022: Laura Tarran, Chief Operating Officer of major Domino’s franchisee, Racz Group, will speak at the British Franchise Association’s 2022 Empowering Women in Business event in Reading on Thursday 22 September.

Laura was just 15 when she applied for her first ever job at her local Domino’s in Hartlepool. 16 years on, she is now in charge of an impressive 55 Domino’s stores (as well as a number of other franchise brands) and manages around 2,000 people.

At the 2022 Empowering Women event, Laura will tell her inspirational story to likeminded female business owners, entrepreneurs, franchisors and franchisees. She will talk about all aspects of running a business – scaling up, scaling down and sometimes sideways, but most of all, why the key to her success is always being there when her teams need her – and never forgetting how to whip up a piping hot Domino’s pizza!

Laura Tarran said: “I absolutely love being part of the Domino’s franchise network and it has opened up a lot of opportunities for me. I’m looking forward to talking to other women from all walks of life about the lessons I have learnt over the last 16 years. I am especially passionate about growing and implementing a great team culture with strong values. People are what makes a business and I hope I can inspire others to always focus on this.”

Nicola Frampton, Operations Director at Domino’s Pizza Group, added: “Domino’s is committed to delivering a better future through food people love and fostering a diverse workforce at all levels is a key part of achieving this ambition. It’s brilliant to see someone like Laura inspiring others. She’s a fantastic example of what can be achieved at Domino’s in our world-class franchise system.

“We have a growing number of female managers running our stores and it will be brilliant for them, and others at the BFA conference, to hear from someone like Laura about what the next step in their career could look like. Laura embodies the values and characteristics we love – drive, dedication and an entrepreneurial spirit. She always puts her team first and makes sure Domino’s does what it does best – delivers great pizza.”

Beyond business, Laura Tarran gives back to her community as a founding member of The Partners’ Foundation, which cares for Domino’s team members during times of hardship. She also invests time in the Racz Group Community Fund, which awards grants to community grassroots organisations. Laura is a mum to one son and is a foster carer.
