DOMINO’S LAUNCHES FIRST SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
2 April 2024Domino’s Pizza Group plc has set out ambitious nutritional and environmental targets as part of its first sustainability report, which was published this morning. The report is a significant milestone in Domino’s commitment to delivering a better future through food people love.
The report outlines Domino’s sustainability strategy and highlights the company’s strategic progress and ambitions across five key pillars: Customers, People, Environment, Sourcing and Communities.
One of the key highlights of the sustainability report is the unveiling of Domino’s new Nutrition Strategy. Developed over the last year, the Nutrition Strategy sets out menu innovation plans for balanced options, which will aim to give customers more choice without missing out on the great Domino’s taste.
The Nutrition Strategy sees Domino’s commit to rolling out its Cheeky Little Pizza range, which are all under 600 calories, in 2024, as well as Wraps under 450 calories, and the expansion of plant-based menu options to meet customer demand and provide more variety. Domino’s also lays out the ambition to work with suppliers to reduce salt, fat, sugar and calories in our products, and a review of the range is underway to identify where this might be achieved.
The sustainability report also outlines how Domino’s plans to reduce its environmental impact, building on initiatives like Domino’s first Lower Carbon Store, with energy efficient features estimated to cut carbon use by more than a third*.
Looking ahead, the business is committed to using best-in-class technology and innovation to improve energy efficiency, as well as building a smarter, greener vehicle fleet.
Andrew Rennie, Chief Executive Officer of Domino’s Pizza Group plc, said: *“Today marks an important step forward in our sustainability journey as we strive to deliver a better future through food people love.
