BRONZE FOR BRONZE
1 January 2021- Domino's changes store front ahead of England Semi-Final to honour former pizzamaker Lucy Bronze -
Lucy Bronze has taken the nation by storm with her performance at the Women's World Cup in France. In honour of the former pizza chef, who worked in the store during her time at university, Domino's Headingley in Leeds is turning its famous storefront logo bronze.
The Lioness, who has 73 caps and scored eight goals for England, has been an integral part of the team's success at the World Cup. Lucy’s most recent “player of the match” performance resulted in her scoring and assisting a goal in the win against Norway in the Quarter-Final.
Ricky Kandola, Operations Director at Domino's, commented: "We're all proud of everything Lucy has achieved and are delighted to be able to pay tribute to her ahead of the Semi-Final. Domino's is the perfect addition to match viewing, and we've predicted football fever to hit tonight as the country cheers on the Lionesses!"
The Semi-Final match against the USA falls on Domino's Two for Tuesday deal – so any pizza lovers ordering any medium or large pizza will get another freshly made, piping hot treat of the same size completely free.
