ANOTHER WAY TO ORDER DOMINO’S - UBER EATS TRIAL BEGINS

Tuesday 9th January, 2024: Domino's Pizza Group Plc has begun a trial with Uber Eats in the UK and will soon begin a trial in the Republic of Ireland (ROI). The news follows the announcement in July 2023 of a global agreement with Uber by US-based Domino’s Pizza Inc.

The UK trial includes 170 Domino’s stores, which will all become available on the app by the end of January. The ROI trial includes 14 stores, which will be available on Uber Eats from February.

While the partnership will mean customers can order Domino’s through the Uber Eats platform, Domino’s will continue to use its own delivery network and drivers to deliver piping hot, great value pizza to customers’ homes in under 25 minutes*.

The trial will assess whether this partnership will drive incremental growth in customers and sales for Domino’s, in particular among customers who tend to only use food delivery apps to order takeaways. If the trial with Uber Eats is successful, the wider Domino’s store network will go live later in the year.

Andrew Rennie, Chief Executive Officer of Domino’s Pizza Group plc, said: “This is good news for us and good news for pizza lovers, given Domino’s will now be available to order on Uber Eats from stores included in the trial.

Through this trial we’ll have access to new customers who typically only order takeaways on food delivery apps, driving further growth in sales. What’s also great is that we’ll still deliver the orders ourselves with Domino’s delivery drivers, so that we can get piping hot pizzas to customers’ doors in under 25 minutes.”

Matthew Price, Uber Eats General Manager, UK, Ireland and Northern Europe, said: ““We are hugely excited to be partnering with Domino’s for this trial to bring their delicious pizzas to Uber Eats customers across the UK. We want to offer the best choice to customers who use our platform, and with this tie-up we are doing exactly that. So, whether you are watching the football with friends or hosting a family get together, Uber Eats and Domino’s have got you covered.”
