New store creates 30 jobs

On Friday [August 8, 2014] at 10am, Domino’s Pizza will officially open its new store in Colne, creating 30 jobs for local people.

Located on Market Street, the new store is celebrating its opening in style with a stilt walker and fire eater kicking things off from 3pm on Friday [August 8, 2014], followed by a Britney Spears lookalike performing in-store on Saturday lunchtime [August 9, 2014]. Domino’s mascot Danny Domino will also be welcoming pizza lovers to the store, along with stacks of pizza slices and a host of mouth-watering deals throughout the week.

Domino’s in Colne is owned by franchisee Mike Racz. Mike owns a number of Domino’s stores in the North East and North West, and is one of the company’s youngest franchisees. In 2010, Mike was presented with an Acorn Award, which are given to people aged under 30 for achievements in the catering and hospitality industry.

Mike Racz, franchisee of Domino’s in Colne, said: “I am delighted my new store will open on Friday. The store has created 30 new jobs for pizza makers, delivery experts and trainee managers and I am pleased that we were able to recruit people from the area in which we are serving. The store is looking great and stocked to rock with fresh dough and delicious toppings. My new team and I all set and eager to go – we can’t wait to deliver our piping hot, freshly made pizza to homes in Colne.”
