CHESTERFIELD FC DEFENDER ‘MARGREITTER’ SCORES BIG WITH DOMINO’S

GEORG ‘PIZZA’ MARGREITTER TUCKS INTO FREE PIZZA THANKS TO HIS CHEESY NAME

Known as ‘Pizza’ by fans and team mates alike, Chesterfield FC’s newest defender, Georg Margreitter, is used to being the butt of cheesy jokes, but thanks to local delivery expert Domino’s Pizza in Chesterfield, it looks as though he’ll be the one having the last laugh – and the last slice – as he tucks into free pizza for the whole season.

After hearing about the footballer’s cheesy nickname, Domino’s Chesterfield offered to help swap the penalty box for a pizza box off the pitch, to help fuel his training for the upcoming season. Georg is now a familiar face at his local Chesterfield Domino’s branch after visiting for his own pizza-making session, providing him with the skills to match the name.

Georg said: “The pizza nickname has always come with the territory, but this is the first time it’s paid off!  With such a high intensity training programme it’s great to be able to treat myself and get the energy levels back up.”

Domino’s Chesterfield franchisee Colin Tomlin, said: “We’re all big football fans here at the Chesterfield branch, so we’re excited to be supporting the team in the best way we know how! We wish them all the best for the season ahead.”

Georg Margreitter recently joined the club on a three-month loan from Wolves. The 25-year-old Austrian defender was previously with Austria Vienna. The collaboration comes ahead of the club’s biggest match of the season, Chesterfield VS. Sheffield, due to take place on Saturday 4th October at 1pm.

Chesterfield FC have had a strong start to the season after winning the Sky Bet League 2 title last term, playing attractive football and recording some impressive results. At the time of writing, Spireites striker Eoin Doyle is the top scorer in English football with 12 goals.
