A Sunshine Breakfast for Staff

DOMINO’S DELIVERS BREAKFAST for rays of sunshine

Staff from Domino’s Pizza head office organised a Sunshine Breakfast for their colleagues to enjoy on Friday 17 May.  The breakfast was a fundraising event in aid of the company’s corporate charity, Rays of Sunshine.

The breakfast feast offered bacon and sausage rolls, Danish pastries, muffins, fresh fruit smoothies and croissants.  All items were sold in aid of the charity who were on site to help the team and raise the charity’s awareness.  The staff also organised a raffle with prizes that included an overnight stay in London, a Starbucks token and tickets to the charity’s Sunshine Concert, which takes place at the Royal Albert Hall in July.  Acts confirmed include Olly Murs, The Saturdays and JLS (one of their last performances).

Domino’s partnership with Rays of Sunshine began last month [April] and so far the company has raised in excess of £30,000 for the charity, through various fundraising events.

Jane Sharpe, CEO for Rays of Sunshine, said: “We are delighted to be in partnership with Domino’s.  They have been extremely pro-active since the launch of our alliance and we have been overwhelmed with the passion they have displayed for our cause.  We are very excited to be working with them and know that together we can make lots of children’s wishes come true.”

Angie Lawrence, CSR Manager for Domino’s, said: “Rays of Sunshine is a lovely charity that fits perfectly with our brand, as like us, they focus on delivering those feel good moments.  We are passionate about making a difference and have formed a charity team to specifically work on fundraising projects for this charity.  With support from our head office staff, store teams and franchisees, we hope to raise the charity’s profile and bring happiness to lots of children this year.”

The breakfast and raffle raised £400, which the company has doubled to £800.  A group of the staff are also taking part in the Run Day next month (Sunday, June 23] at Luton Hoo, in which they hope to raise a lot more money.  The team can be sponsored by visiting their justgiving page at
